Harvey Stein is a long time faculty member at ICP who has also taught at The School of Visual Arts, Parsons, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Drew University. He frequently leads workshops and lectures worldwide. He is the Director of Photography at Umbrella Arts Gallery. Stein has had 75 solo exhibitions and has participated in over 150 group shows. To add to his long list of accolades, he has published five books of photography: Coney Island 40 Years, Parallels: A Look at Twins, Artists Observed, Coney Island, and Movimento: Glimpses of Italian Street Life. His latest book, Harlem Street Portraits, will be published in the fall of 2013. Stein's work exists in over 55 public collections and he is represented by Bruce Silverstein Gallery, Throckmorton Fine Art, and June Bateman Fine Art.
