Andy Kennedy is a filmmaker, animator, and musician based in Brooklyn, NY. He attended the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated with a BFA in Film / Animation / Video. His films Slow Wave and Accumulonimbus have screened in film festivals around the world. Andy is interested in visualizing sound in unconventional ways. Working primarily in 3-D computer animation, he deforms everyday objects in playful and unsettling ways.
The Department of Digital Arts Lecture Series is a seasonal series organized by the Department of Digital Arts in the School of Art at Pratt Institute. The series features critics, artists, and curators of digital art and animation. The guests include both emerging talent and established pioneers in the fields of digital animation, motion arts, interactive artwork, and digital imaging.
