The National Exemplar is pleased to announce its new exhibition by Todd Eberle “FLOWERS (for Richard)”
MAY 27- JULY 3, 2014
Todd Eberle came to NY in 1982.
In 1987 he got his first photographic assignment from Paper Magazine. There he met Richard Pandiscio who was the magazineʼs art director. They have been together ever since.
In 2001 Todd and Richard bought a modernist house designed by Whitson Overcash of Skidmore, Owings and Merril on a large piece of land in West Cornwall, CT.
The property had no gardens so Richard began creating one.
Shortly thereafter he would, early every morning, bring Todd a bouquet from the garden.
Todd stated photographing the daily bouquets in a makeshift studio he created in their living room.
From these photos he manipulated the image to create his own “photographic bouquets”.
These are the Flowers (for Richard).
Todd Eberle was born in 1961 in Cleveland, Ohio. He lives and work in NYC.
