Graeme Brooker is Head of Interiors at The Royal College of Art in London. He has published widely on many aspects of the interior and in particular the reuse of existing buildings.

In this talk, "Proximities" references context, place and the vagaries of understanding site. "Inhabitations" explores use and occupation. "Identities" examines not just the surface dimension of the interior but also the identities of the discipline of the interior. Graeme Brooker will use some of his own research and writing, as well as the work of others, to show how these three elements are combined to create the fundamental aspects of the education, practice, and cultures of the interior.
