Pearl Street Triangle | Water Street between Pearl Street & Anchorage Place
Curated by Leo Kuelbs, Sandra Ratkovic
On Thursday, March 2 from dusk to 10pm, the Manhattan Bridge lights up with Digital Fairytales: Album II, a new work combining visuals and sound pieces from various artists, inspired by old German tales from the early 19th century. Curated by Leo Kuelbs and Sandra Ratkovic, the installation will be projected on the bridge at dimensions of 65 feet by 40 feet.
The installation is part of Light Year, where the Manhattan Bridge becomes the unique setting for some of the largest video art installations in New York City on the first Thursday of every month since April 2015.
Light Year is presented by 3_Search (Leo Kuelbs Collection, Glowing Bulbs and John Ensor Parker) in collaboration with the DUMBO Improvement District and the New York City Department of Transportation. Since its inception, Light Year has hosted the work of over 100 artists and curators from around the world and takes place in conjunction with the DUMBO First Thursday Gallery Walk.
