Taking up the themes of privacy, security, surveillance, anonymity, and large-scale data aggregation in relation to the Invisible City, NEW INC will host a weeklong residency with the cyberfeminist research collective Deep Lab. Working in dialogue with NEW INC’s curated community of artists, designers, and technologists, Deep Lab will hold conversations, workshops, and performances, while developing new installations and participatory experiences that will take place during the IDEAS CITY Festival. Highlights will include a drone painting performance on Thursday evening, a network infrastructure walking tour with Ingrid Burrington on Saturday afternoon, and more events to be announced. Supported by Microsoft Civic Innovation and Data & Society Research Institute. Check back for updates on programming, times, and information about how to RSVP
