WOMEN OF INFLUENCE IN THE BUSINESS OF FILM
Thelma Adams (moderator)
Co-presented by Tribeca Film Institute and Pratt’s Film/Video Department
Join us for a timely discussion about the underrepresentation of women in all aspects of the film industry and a celebration of the achievements of those who are challenging preconceived ideas about gender, pioneering change, and fostering increased diversity in the business. Featuring Eliza Hittman, Pratt Film/Video faculty member and screenwriter, producer, and director of the Sundance award-winning film Beach Rats; Amy Hobby, Executive Director of Tribeca Film Institute, producer of the Academy Award-nominated documentary What Happened, Miss Simone?, and co-founder of Tangerine Entertainment; and writer and film critic Thelma Adams (moderator). This event continues Pratt Presents’ Women of Influence series which has previously focused on the worlds of art and fashion.
