SADE ROOM (famously reclusive) is an installation by Donna Huanca produced specifically for the storefront at MoMA PS1's project space the Print Shop. Using found materials, such as clothing and ephemera, Huanca creates an architectural collage that doubles as a site for performances activated by live models during a selection of MoMA PS1’s Sunday Sessions. During these activations, the models are embedded in the installation as live statues or totems, camouflaged and infused into the sculptural setting as a form of tableau vivant. SADE ROOM (famously reclusive) is viewable through the glass façade on Jackson Avenue, visible at street level 24 hours a day.

Sade Room (famously reclusive) is organized by Jenny Schlenzka, Associate Curator MoMA PS1 and Mia Locks, Curatorial Associate MoMA PS1 as part of Sunday Sessions.

Sunday Sessions is organized by Jenny Schlenzka, Associate Curator with Mike Skinner, Producer, Alex Sloane, Live Programming Coordinator and Rosey Selig-Addiss, Production Assistant.
